What if someone were to take the light in weight and sensitive aspects of a carbon fiber fishing rod and incorporate the moderate taper of a fiberglass fishing rod? Well, Jigging World did it. Introducing to you, the all new Jigging World Retro blanks that have all the features you love in a carbon fiber fishing rod along with a moderate action bend under load that many still prefer - especially for bottom fishing. Fraction of the weight, significantly thinner in the blank diameter, and increased sensitivity throughout the entire blank compared to fiberglass rods out today, these blanks are a game changer. The tip is soft enough as well for monofilament line enthusiasts to use effectively take advantage of these blanks.

And so you don’t have to build one of these blanks yourself, Grumpys Tackle has some ready-to-go custom spec rods built using Blackcloud Bob’s handle and conventional acid wrap guide layout,  Handles are built with cork and Fuji Deluxe DPS reel seats.  The guide layout is an acid wrapped (also called spiral wrapped) style, with two choices for guides.
